Misteryo Sa Tuwa

This National Heritage Month, Tanghalang Metropolitan, in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Film Development Council of the Philippines, ABS-CBN, ABS-CBN Studios and ABS-CBN Sagip Pelikula, presents the digitally restored and remastered 1984 film “Misteryo sa Tuwa” directed by Abbo Q. dela Cruz under the program Mga Hiyas ng Sineng Filipino.

“Misteryo sa Tuwa” is the story of three poor friends whose fortunes change after a plane crashes in their area. They rush to the scene not to help, but to retrieve the victims’ belongings, including a large sum of money from a deceased American passenger. But the mayor’s greed causes trouble, so he kidnaps the three to seize their loot.

At a time when our resilience seems to be tested by adversity that leads to wrong decisions in life, we invite you to watch “Misteryo sa Tuwa”, a film full of lessons, emotions and mystery, this coming May 17, 2026 at 2 pm.
